Heat Units
Heat units (HU) data is a measure of the amount of favourable temperatures for fruit growing conditions. As the heat sum value increases, the potential rate of fruit development increases.

The heat unit formulae in the maximum temperature plus the minimum temperature divided by two and minus thirteen.

Note: maximum tempartures above 35°C are limted to

35°C and heat units are limited to positive values.

Heat units = ((Max+Min)/2)-13 (Note: max temp limited to 35°C)
